Music becomes sound
The Solitaire T Pro represents a deliberate transition from the reproduction of music only to the mastery of sound itself, embracing the full spectrum of the modern entertainment landscape. With our heritage firmly rooted in bringing to life the Artist's Truth, our guiding conviction has grown to encompass more than ever: sound, in all its cinematic, atmospheric, and musical complexity, can be experienced in its most visceral, unaltered form. By integrating Dolby Atmos, we have transformed the Solitaire T Pro from a high-fidelity headphone into a truly private cinema.
When engaging with spatial audio content, your role changes: you are no longer just a listener to a soundstage; instead, you are placed inside a three-dimensional soundfield. Instruments and cinematic effects occupy a 360-degree reality around you with every sound given a tangible physical presence in space and time.
The ICM45605 gyrosensor adds head tracking to the Dolby Atmos experience, keeping the three-dimensional soundfield anchored in space as you move your head while enjoying compatible audio and video content.
The Digital Intelligence
To ensure the T+A standard remains entirely untethered without sacrificing an ounce of fidelity, we selected the Qualcomm QCC 5181 chipset. This is far more than a simple component; it is a high-efficiency conduit specifically engineered to handle the massive data requirements of the modern audio landscape. This core serves as the vital gateway for a comprehensive suite of advanced wireless connection codecs, led by LDAC and aptX Lossless. They ensure that the perceived divide between wired and wireless listening is now virtually indistinguishable, providing a uniquely clear, powerful, and natural sound image.
Alongside LDAC and aptX Lossless, the Bluetooth 6.0 platform supports aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LC3, SBC and AAC. Auracast adds access to compatible shared audio broadcasts, including those available in public venues such as museums.
The mobile Studio
When you demand the absolute pinnacle of performance, the Solitaire T Pro is ready to transition into Studio Pro Mode, a state of operation that switches from the on-board DAC to a dedicated Esstech ES9219 Sabre DAC. This reference-grade converter acts as the critical gatekeeper of the signal path, tasked with translating complex, high-resolution data into an analogue signal. Whether listening over Bluetooth or through the USB-C digital input, the ES9219 can take command of the data stream. The converted signal is then fed into a bespoke analogue amplifier coupled with a dedicated analogue volume control. The result brings the uncompromising quality of a stationary high-end system into a mobile listening experience.
The dedicated analogue volume control also avoids reducing digital signal resolution through volume attenuation, helping preserve detail during high-resolution playback.
Wired Listening and Active Analogue
Beyond Bluetooth, the Solitaire T Pro supports uncompressed digital signal transfer and charging over USB-C, as well as fully passive analogue listening using cables with balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn, 3.5mm, or 6.3mm connectors. The balanced 4.4mm connection enables symmetrical signal transfer directly to the transducer. Passive listening maintains the headphone’s acoustic performance without relying on powered digital processing or battery power.
With T+A’s Active Analogue concept, analogue sources can also be used while retaining the headphone’s built-in volume control and active noise cancellation. All supplied audio leads use oxygen-free copper (OFC), are designed to minimize cable-borne noise (microphonics), and feature gold-plated contacts for reliable signal transfer.
The Acoustic Foundation
The Solitaire T Pro is built upon a singular architectural foundation: the conviction that even the most advanced digital processing requires a fundamentally pure canvas to succeed. Consequently, the entire transducer is engineered to such an exemplary standard that it by itself is capable of delivering a superb, high-fidelity experience without any reliance on artificial signal processing. To achieve such a level of performance, our design is rooted in the elimination of interference before it can begin. At the heart of the system is a 42-mm transducer featuring a specialized cellulose diaphragm - a material selected for its remarkable ability to merge lightning-fast agility with structural rigidity. While undamped diaphragms can introduce unwanted reflections that blur detail, we have precisely managed this potential by integrating carefully located damping at the very edge of the transducer. This measure effectively neutralizes reflections as they develop, preventing any colouration of the frequency response and allowing the diaphragm to move with effortless poise, free from premature break-up. Complemented by an optimized low-bass system that ensures a flawless transient response, the result is a transparent, three-dimensional stage where sound is heard exactly as it was intended to be felt.
Operation
We believe a headphone is an intimate, personal interface with your music. Accordingly, we insisted that the operation of the Solitaire T Pro be entirely effortless and instinctive. This is achieved through a holistic, multi-sensory experience. Solid, precision-machined buttons and switches provide direct access to Studio Mode, Studio Pro Mode, active noise cancellation and Transparency Mode, while an integrated touchpad controls playback. Transparency Mode lets outside sound through at the push of a button. Important inputs and status changes are confirmed by discreet spoken feedback in the distinctive T+A voices. Comprehensive settings are available through the T+A Solitaire Companion H2 app.
The hybrid noise-cancellation system uses two latest-generation Sony chipsets and offers three selectable ANC settings. Its active suppression of lower-frequency noise complements passive isolation that reduces midrange and treble noise. For calls and video conferences, three voice-pickup microphones and several sidetone settings provide natural voice feedback. For travel, the precision-machined aluminium components are bead-blasted and anodized, while the earcups rotate 90 degrees and fold inward for compact storage. The ear and head pads use anti-allergenic synthetic leather for long-term comfort.
A Studio in Motion
Like all T+A equipment, the carefully designed chamfers on the headband and cups serve as a clear link to the inimitable family of Solitaire headphones, reflecting the consistent simplicity of T+A's 40-year design language. Beyond its physical isolation, the Solitaire T Pro serves as your private, high-performance listening room, utilizing Dolby technology to transform the headphones into a 360-degree sonic landscape where every movement has a tangible, physical presence. Instruments and cinematic effects occupy a three-dimensional space, placing you at the centre of the performance.
Built upon a foundation of high-fidelity wireless standards, the Solitaire T Pro demonstrates how the bridge between wired and wireless can become virtually indistinguishable, providing a clear, powerful sound image that exceeds many conventional wired systems. Whether connected via the balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn input, Bluetooth, or USB-C for uncompressed digital playback, the Solitaire T Pro delivers uncompromising versatility. With up to 50 hours of battery life, its foldable construction, and premium materials, this mobile studio is designed to bring the T+A listening experience wherever the journey takes you.
Nightflight
The Solitaire T Pro Nightflight is an homage to those who maintain absolute calm while navigating the vast, electric shadows of a storm-tossed night sky. Its aesthetic—a black base punctuated by deep grey and bright silver contrasts—takes direct inspiration from the atmosphere of a midnight crossing where the horizon is lost to the elements. The result is a striking yet understated design, perfectly adapted for a life in motion.
Riviera
The Solitaire T Pro Riviera merges elegant cream-white surfaces with warm cognac brown contrasts, bringing to life the effortless sophistication and sun-drenched clarity of the French way of life. Its luxurious color combination evokes timeless French elegance, offering a refined and welcoming aesthetic that complements the Solitaire T Pro's premium craftsmanship.
